Access to the Ovid Database System
Eskind Biomedical Library provides access for authorized users to MEDLINE,
CINAHL, EMBASE Drugs and Pharmacology, EBM (Evidence-Based Medicine) Reviews,
and the Health and Psychosocial Instruments databases, as well as over 100
full-text journal titles.
The Eskind Biomedical Library, supports PubMed as VUMC's main interface to Medline and also currently provides an additional Medline searching option through Ovid. Because EBL subscribes to electronic journals and other databases through Ovid, the library currently receives this interface to Medline at no additional charge; if this changes in the future, VUMC may re-evaluate provision of the Ovid version of Medline.
